December 9, 2010 Why is it that electronics accessories and other similar paraphernalia come in packaging that is virtually impossible to open without a blowtorch and a chainsaw? I mean I GET that the fear of shoplifting may be one reason that these things can't be too easy to open, but come on can't they make it just a tad bit easier? Today I got to wrestle with the plastic container for a pair of $30 headphones and based on the intricacies of said container, my guess is that the headphones probably cost about $2 and rest of the cost went into the packaging. Thank god food doesn't come in similar packaging. We'd all starve to death. Tomorrow I'm hunting down a packaging engineer and junk punching him.
